Two years after the classification of the town as a Tourist Station, the Tourist Office "Roissy, Clé de France (Roissy-Écouen-Luzarches)" is going up a gear, wanting to compete with the major places of Business Tourism by highlighting all the assets of the Roissy region, and the municipalities of Écouen and Luzarches.

Proposals to place Roissy in the big leagues of Business Tourism: this is the new roadmap that the administrators of the Tourist Office "Roissy, Clé de France (Roissy-Écouen-Luzarches)" have adopted unanimously on June 22, as part of their Annual General Meeting.

HIGH-FLIGHT POTENTIAL FOR HOSTING CONGRESSES AND SEMINARS

A list of actions and a timetable: the cabinet of experts in Tourism Culture and Hospitality commissioned to establish this action plan, has set the time necessary for the implementation of all of the recommendations at 3 years. With nearly 6000 hotel rooms in the town, and much more if we think about the scale of the agglomeration, the Tourist Office animates a quite exceptional potential which now requires a change of pace and means. No more letting conference attendees, organizers of major European and world events, in Singapore, Atlanta or London slip away! With soon a golf course (unique in the world so close to an International Airport) and, within three years, the ITC Congress Center, the destination Roissy, backed by the 10th largest airport in the world, can display solid ambitions, to the benefit of common as of the whole territory of eastern Val-d'Oise.

5 WAYS TO ENTER THE TOP 10 EUROPEAN BUSINESS TOURISM

Work for the administrators, volunteers and the team of the Tourist Office "Roissy, Clé de France (Roissy-Écouen-Luzarches)" who will get down to work from the start to set to music the orientations of the development plan validated last June. From the fall, several working groups will be set up to implement the priority actions proposed by the experts from the Cabinet Deloitte In extenso.

A new identity for Destination Roissy: First essential step to better identify the Roissy destination with business travelers: create a brand associated with a new logo summarizing the entire offer. Not simple, because this ultra-simplified message will necessarily have to be understandable in all countries. This new brand will have to represent the advantages of Grand Roissy in the broad sense by relying in particular on an upgrade of the Office's website.

Develop MICE offers (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Event):  This is, in a way, the heart of the project: attracting as many business meetings, seminars or congresses as possible at the Pôle de Roissy. A successful and attractive seminar or congress is also a possibility for events, leisure and excursions offered to delegates on the sidelines of their professional meetings. An objective that goes through the production of new presentation guides for event professionals and seminar organizers within companies.

Nature, culture, heritage: develop all the riches: This set of actions follows on from the merger of the Roissy, Écouen and Luzarches Offices. A discovery of the treasures of the National Museum of the Renaissance in Écouen, a stroll in the historic heart of Luzarches: ideas of discoveries to promote with visitors by offering in particular rapid means of transport to these points of interest located 20 minutes away from the Roissy hotel cluster, as well as better accessibility to rural parts of the territory.

Caring for passengers in transit:  They did not specifically come to Roissy to land there: travelers on a technical stopover, between two planes, immobilized by a delay or a strike: the development plan recommends expanding suitable offers for hospitality, leisure, discovery to these passengers, in connection with the airlines and the airport. These travelers must be identified very early to provide them with a suitable welcome.
