On Tuesday 10 September 2019, the Grand Roissy Tourist Office organized, in collaboration with Atout France and the Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Belge (SNCB), a Famtrip intended for a group of Belgian and Dutch tour operators and travel journalists. .

The objective was to present to our twenty guests the essentials of the Grand Roissy territory, and above all its diversity, between business, relaxation and cultural visits.

Tariana Carvalho, our business tourism manager, joined our guests in the early afternoon, just after visiting the company's premises. ServairSpecializing in catering.

The day continued with the visits du Air and Space Museum, located at Bourget : two visits were offered to our guests, one English-speaking, the other French-speaking. The group was thus able, in two hours, travel through time and discover part of the history of aviation but also of the conquest of space: discovery of the Soyuz T-6 capsule which took the French Jean-Loup Chrétien on his first trip to space in June 1982; several planes from the interwar years that served in the Aéropostale, but also the plane of Louis Breguet (one of the founders of Air France); discovery of iconic airplanes from 1939-1945 such as the famous Spitfires and Dakota, the Operation Overlord aircraft; the afternoon ended with a visit to the cabin of the famous Concord, which made it possible to reach the United States from France in less than four hours.

Swan Gueydan, director of Roissy international golf course, then welcomed the group for a guided tour of the premises: the driving range and the restaurant - which will open in February 2020 - but also the green, the club house and the walking trails, which are scheduled to open in June 2020. It should be noted that the Roissy International Golf has several specificities: on the one hand, it will be one of the few to have an indoor practice and to welcome children for golf lessons. On the other hand, the golf course will be open to various walking circuits, accessible on foot or by bike, in order to open it up to as many people as possible. The group was also able to discover how the water collection basin works: the establishment is, in fact, designed to be environmentally responsible.

To end the day smoothly, the group was received by Sabrina Vollertsen - sales manager - at Novotel Paris CDG Roissy Convention, who kindly presented us with the rental offer of seminar and conference rooms, the various rooms and suites of the hotel, as well as the spa: a full range of services to host corporate events, a few kilometers away only from the first European airport.

Our guests were then able to debrief their day to visit around a snack offered by the teams of the Novotel Paris Roissy CDG Convention, before returning to the TGV station, just a few kilometers from Roissy.
