During the European Sustainable Development Week, we want to highlight our partners committed to a sustainable development approach. This is the case of the Roissy Pays de France agglomeration community.

First of all, through the organization of events "From the seed to our plate". From September 18 to November 27, workshops as well as film-debate evenings are organized on the theme of sustainable food. The agglomeration worked with ADEME (Energy Transition Agency) and local associations Inven'Terre, The box, Equalis et RER in order to offer a large number of activities. This second edition promises to be rich in discoveries on short circuits, the fight against food waste or on local producers.

September 26 is in Écouen that an animation will take place from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m. in front of our Tourist Information Office, with the program:
• Discovery of the short circuits located in the Val-d'Oise
• Awareness of a more sustainable diet
• Tasting of local products to promote short circuits in the Val-d'Oise.
• Awareness of the environmental and health consequences.

In addition, on the occasion of the European Sustainable Development Week, the agglomeration organized several events. On September 19, workshops were organized at the Ressourcerie de Gonesse and the Jardin Pédagogique de Sarcelles. The next event will be held on October 03 in Mitry-Mory. Association Friends of foragers organizes a morning discovery on how beehives work.

It is also possible to consume responsibly the rest of the year! Roissy Pays de France has therefore carried out a brochure on the territory's short circuits. The goal: that producers and consumers spend as little as possible through intermediaries. Thus, thanks to the brochure, producers and associations committing to this approach are put forward, and it becomes very easy to consume locally!

Responsible consumption also means going to local shops. The agglomeration has created an interactive map bringing together all these businesses. We can see how the local shops are varied and numerous! Indeed, your local cheese maker is as much a local store as your optician or your bookseller. No need to travel very far to benefit from a large number of services.
