This year, the Archéa museum, located in Louvres, celebrates its tenth anniversary!

And for its birthday, Archéa organizes ten events between 2021 and 2022. Mark your calendars!

Indeed, each event will be organized around one of the museum's fundamental values.

For example:

  • sensitize audiences in their diversity, with an audio description project
  • Innovate with new technologies, presented at an exhibition in February-May 2022
  • Builds by exhibiting its contemporary architecture
  • Invite the other disciplines to create its cultural season all year round: partners from ARCHÉA and the Roissy Pays de France agglomeration will intervene throughout these two years.

Interventions outside the walls

In addition, during the closing of the museum, the teams remain mobilized. Mediators especially, work in schools in the agglomeration, from CP to high school.

Each intervention (free) lasts 2 hours maximum.

The mediator presents the Archéa museum and its collections, then details one or more periods of history studied by local archeology.

The speaker presents images, facsimiles of archaeological objects and sometimes even original objects.

Interactions with students are privileged, this is why each intervention ends with a practical workshop, in compliance with health protocols in force within the establishments.

Archéa launches its tutorials

Finally, during the museum's closing period, the teams offer tutorials online !

Looking at these 5 to 9 minute videos, you will be able to learn about pottery, antique bread making, or at the creation of coats of arms and shields. What to learn while having fun.
