1500 visits by guide-lecturers in Île-de-France

The tourist office opens the doors to two emblematic places of the Grand Roissy : the Old Country, in Goussainville, and the National Renaissance Museum, in Écouen.

Indeed, in July and August, guide-lecturers will accompany you to guided tours of the National Renaissance Museum in Écouen and the Old Country of Goussainville.

These visits are scheduled as part of thesurgery 1500 visits by guide-lecturers.

Indeed, it is the Île-de-France Regional Tourism Committee who is at the origin of this initiative, in order to support the tour guides hard hit by the health crisis.

All tours are free, but reservations are required.

Visit of the Old Country of Goussainville, with Sophie Jules-Gaston and Philippe Veilliard

In Goussainville, a guide-lecturer and an inhabitant specializing in the history of the Old Country, will make you discover the astonishing atmosphere of Goussainville.

So the Old Country is this part of the village that the inhabitants have abandoned to the construction of the airport.

Thus, in the 1970s, Paris Aéroport planned to demolish the houses now uninhabited. But the classification in the Historical Monuments of the village church prevents destruction within a radius of 300 meters.

From now on, the Old Country, where inhabitants still live, offers an atypical atmosphere. The school, the church or even Goussainlivres, this very beautiful bookstore, continue to bring this part of the village to life..
