Organized every year, the European Sustainable Development Week aims to promote ecological and social transition. Thus, from September 18 to October 8, Roissy Pays de France and several municipalities in the agglomeration are offering activities in this context.
The many actions of Roissy Pays de France in favor of sustainable development
For three weeks, in partnership with local associations, the agglomeration community offers many activities. The theme for this year is “daily action”. Indeed, today everyone is concerned by the issues of sustainable development. Thus, all the small daily gestures are essential in order to raise awareness among stakeholders and transform our societies. To do this, several themes have been selected. You will therefore be able to find "games and digital" activities, numerous workshops or even information on the subject. Finally, cleaning operations will take place during these three weeks in various municipalities.
In addition, we already told you in our previous newsletter about workshops around sustainable food offered by the agglomeration. Thus, from Wednesday September 8 to Tuesday October 26, you will be able to participate in new fun and educational workshops. For young and old, you can find a film debate, cooking workshops for children, discovery of biodiversity in the garden and many more.

The Grand Roissy Tourist Office, a committed player in sustainable development
The Grand Roissy Tourist Office is also working on this approach. Indeed, for several months, we have joined the Sustainable Tourism Actors network. In addition to this, the Office is involved in several procedures, both internal and external. Thus, we have a sustainable development policy in six points which will be the subject of a renewal very soon. In this context, we promote eco-responsible actions within the Office but also encourage several projects. Thus, we have a sponsorship with Beeflow. Today, in our three offices in Roissy, Luzarches and Ecouen, we market the various harvested honeys and artisanal products derived from Frantz and Olivier honey, guaranteed Origin France and 100% natural. In addition, among the major environmental projects of the municipality you can find:
- 2009: creation of allotment gardens
- 2012: installation of an apiary behind the Church
- 2018: installation of insect shelters
- 2020: development of the Green Valley with an 18-hole golf course
- 2021: development of the Espace Étienne Tabuteau
