From October 13, 2021 to February 14, 2022, discover the exhibition "Enameling glass in the Renaissance" in the footsteps of glass artists between Venice and France.
These very precious objects made the reputation of Venice and the island of Murano. Indeed, the enamelled and gilded glasses of the Renaissance are particularly popular from the end of the XNUMXth century.
At the beginning of the XNUMXth century, glass workshops all over Europe were working to develop their own production, especially in France.
Combining the contributions of the history of art, archeology and scientific analyzes, the exhibition tries to clarify the attributions (Venice? Venice way?) et the dates (between XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries) of these works that we thought we knew so well.
