As every month, we invite you to find the hotel figures of the Grand Roissy territory. Back on the different indicators for the month of November. These show a sector still weakened by the health crisis but which is more vigorous than in November 2020.

First of all, concerning the filling rate, this one was in increase of 27,3 points compared to November 2020. Thus, it reached a average of 45,4%. This is explained in particular by the government measures put in place during this period in 2020 with the confinement. Indeed, the latter had put a total brake on hotel and airport activity. In addition, the increase in the occupancy rate was reinforced thanks to a gradual recovery in business tourism through the holding of several exhibitions attracting many visitors. We note in particular the World Nuclear Exhibition at the Parc des Expositions Paris Nord (November 30, 2021 - 612 exhibitors and 17 participants, 000% of whom are international).

In addition, there is an increase in air traffic, compared to November 2020 (+2,7 million passengers at Roissy CDG airport). However, the traffic observed in November 2021 only corresponds to 59,2% of the traffic observed during the same period in 2019. This therefore still strongly impacts the performance of the hotel sector.

If we now look at prices, we see a overall increase of 16,6% in the average price compared to November 2020. This therefore stands at € 80,7. In a context of a joint increase in the average price and the occupancy rate, the RevPAR increased by nearly 193,1%, compared to November 2020.

Indicators for the different hotel categories

The occupancy rate of the hotel industry super economical (1 * and 2 *) displays the highest level at 67% in November 2021. In addition, the category is marked by the strongest increase in the occupancy rate. This corresponded to a increase of 37,5 additional points compared to October 2020. If we are now interested in hotels Opportunities (3 *), these display a average occupancy of 30,4%. This represented an increase of 17,8 points compared to November 2020. Finally, the niche midrange (4 *) as well as tourist residences (5 *) display a filling rate of 41,5%, representing a gain of 26,1 points compared to November 2020.

On cumulative period from January to November 2021, lhe occupancy rate of hotels, all categories combined, is 31,3%. It was therefore up 2,9 points compared to November 2020. The average price fell 6,4% to € 77,1. Finally, the RevPAR amounted to € 24,2, an increase of 3,2% compared to November 2020.

Figures for the three sectors of Grand Roissy

In November 2021, the 3 sectors of the Grand Roissy recorded an increase in their performance. This is once again explained by the increase in airport traffic as well as the holding of business tourism fairs in Villepinte. Thereby, the Airport sector displays the highest occupancy rate, standing at 49,1%. We therefore note an increase of 28,9 points compared to November 2020. This is followed by the Allée du Verger sector (+23,7 points compared to November 2020). At last, the Villepinte / Paris Nord 2 sector recorded an occupancy rate of 38,0%, representing a gain of 25,1 points compared to November 2020.

Le airport sector shows the highest average price, i.e. 95,8 €, representing an increase of 24,5% compared to November 2020. In addition, Villepinte / Paris Nord 2 also recorded a 27,1% increase in its price average compared to November 2020, amounting to € 69,6. The Allée du Verger sector is the only sector to record a lower average price compared to November 2020 (-1,8%), thus amounting to € 69,4.
