The Tourist Office Greater Roissy has created a GIS aimed at gathering and mapping the hotel offer of the territory. This tool, developed with Roissy Dev, also provides access to hotel performance via the MKG indicator.
What exactly is a GIS?
Let's start with the beginning, a GIS is a system that creates, manages, analyzes and maps all types of data. GIS connects data to a map to show where the features to highlight are. In our case, we can find the location of hotels and residences ; but also different places of interest in our destination.
This GIS aims to share information in order tohelp its users better understand the territory of Grand Roissy, its strengths and challenges.

What can be found on the OT Grand Roissy GIS?
About the tab Mapping of the hotel offer :
In the center you will find a interactive map on which you can move, zoom, or click on the icons to get more information. Below this map, you can see the Number of establishments per municipality ; as well as the Number of rooms per municipality.
In the right column, discover the list of open establishments, sorted (by default) in alphabetical order. Their number of stars as well as the city where they are located are also specified. By clicking on the right arrow (at the bottom of this column); you can also access the list of upcoming establishments.
Finally, in the left column, you will find the Number of bedrooms and Total number of establishments establishments open and to come. Below, discover a circular diagram representing the Distribution of establishments by stars ; as well as the Number of rooms per star.
In addition, at the top right of this page you will find different filters to refine your search. Indeed, you can select the municipality and the classification of your choice. You can also filter according to whether you want to display the establishments of the Airport Zone Hotels CDGVAL Access, or not. And finally, depending on the Territory or Public Establishment for Intermunicipal Cooperation (EPCI) of your choice.
About the tab MKG indicator :
In this part, you will be able to access our hotel industry barometer. The data provided will allow you to discover hotel performance in Grand Roissy via the MKG observatory.
Indeed, this indicator gives the main trends in hotel activity, attendance, in summary of tourist activity in the territory. These figures come from a study carried out on a sample of 39 hotels in Roissy-en-France (approximately 9 rooms).
