Closed during the health crisis, Terminal 3 de Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport reopened its doors on May 3.

Did you know that this terminal is only reserved for charter and low-cost traffic ? Smaller than terminals 1 and 2, only two halls compose it ; one for departures and the other for arrivals.

Traffic resumes at Terminal 3

Le ADP group is preparing to reopen all of its terminals to support the resumption of air traffic. Indeed, part of these terminals had closed due to the pandemic.

The terminal 2B renovations and work on the junction building with the 2D endpoint occurred during the crisis. They have reopened in July; after 5 years and 250 million euros of work.

Reopening at the end of 2022 of terminal 1

Most terminals will reopen for the start of the summer season. In contrast, the Terminal 1 should open in December 2022, because it is still under construction.

The connection of the 3 satellites of this historic terminal is in progress. It should be completed at the end of 2022. A new building of 36 m000 connected to satellites 1 and 3 will also take shape.

The goal is to modernize and increase the capacity of terminal 1 to 10,2 million passengers per year (compared to 9 million before the pandemic).

Closure of junction building 2A-2C after Christmas 2022

Le junction building 2A-2C will close after Christmas 2022 departures. The evolution of European baggage screening regulations, forced ADP to introduce new scanners.

These last are 1,5 times bigger than the current ones. It is therefore necessary to perform a expansion project which should last between 12 and 18 months.
