From February 18, find the new exhibition at the ARCHÉA museum “Heritages à la carte”. This exhibition will highlight the riches of the 42 municipalities that make up the Roissy Pays de France conurbation.

Show the diversity of the 42 municipalities

In fact, the museum ARCHEA, located in the heart of theagglomeration Roissy Pays de France, offers an exhibition that aims to address all forms of heritage. Thus, we will find the archaeological, hydraulic, civil, religious, funerary, industrial, natural, movable, immaterial, etc. heritage. – protected or not – witnesses of the centuries-old history of the Pays de France. It aims to make us aware of the notion of heritage, its history, its methods of protection and the expansion of this designation over time. This exhibition outlines the extent and diversity of the heritages still in place and those that are emerging. Indeed, it brings together 25 municipalities in the east of Val-d'Oise and 17 municipalities in the north-west of Seine-et-Marne. Thus, the challenge is to design a common territory in the heart of the Pays de France.

In fact, the exhibition will bring together testimonials from professionals and actors working to study and preserve local heritage. In addition, we will find interviews with residents who share their attachment to the wealth and particularities of their living environment.

Workshops for young and old!

As always at ARCHÉA, playful and interactive devices for young and old will punctuate the exhibition. Thus, we will find: the construction of models; discovery of holograms of unusual and emblematic heritage places, etc. As for the scenography, it gives pride of place to the world of road signs, with in particular a large map on the ground on which you can walk to discover the main heritage elements of the Pays de France.   • Personalized workshops. for young and old are offered to discover the heritage while having fun;
  • Personalized visits little-known elements of the local heritage and encounters with the enthusiasts who bring it to life.

The inauguration will take place on Thursday February 16 at 18 p.m., free opening from 16 p.m. to 20 p.m. Free entrance to the museum for everyone on the first opening weekend, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 February.

A book from the exhibition for sale

On the occasion of the exhibition, an eponymous book will be published in bookstores on February 16, 2023 by Liénart editions. The work "Heritages à la carte" is punctuated by the testimonies and contributions of 17 actors and professionals working in the heritage field and covering the departments of Seine-et-Marne and Val-d'Oise, followed by notebooks of images .
