Atout France enters the fray
As part of the Plan Destination France, Atout France is launching an awareness-raising system for welcoming international visitors for tourism professionals. This is a series of videos answering key questions about international visitors. Each nationality is dedicated to a series of 4 videos both short and playful :
- Know the main characteristics of the visitor's country
- Know the profile of sports travelers
- Their interests
- Their expectations in terms of reception
The first part, dedicated to the Rugby World Cup, will be available for 10 traveler nationalities: South Africa, Australia, Argentina, Ireland, United States, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Portugal. It will be supplemented by a second part, on the occasion of the Olympics and Paralympics, with 7 additional countries: Germany, Belgium, Canada, China, Spain, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
The CRT and the CCI recover the ball
With 10 matches scheduled at the Stade de France and base camps and villages scattered around Paris and its region, the CRT and the CCI of Paris have been keen to educate tourism professionals. So they decided to make a special edition of their magazine “ Do You Speak Tourist“, dedicated to the Rugby World Cup 2023. This initiative aims to help tourism professionals to better know the tourists, to give tips for welcoming them and to give competition information. Lots of different nationalities will be present, which means different communication styles, habits and behaviors. It is therefore necessary to adopt the right attitude towards these foreign tourists, to understand them and to be understood. This magazine also details the expectations of supporters, with portraits of certain nationalities, as well as essential information on the countries participating in the competition (team name, prize list and ranking).
You can also find this information in the form of capsules ofe-learning here:
Or train yourself in a more fun way through a mobile game which offers courses, quizzes and videos. This is the first serious tourism game for training and raising awareness of the local tourist offer and hospitality.
