A dynamic recovery

The month of October 2023 witnessed a vigorous recovery in hotel activity in Greater Roissy. With an overall occupancy rate reaching 81,6%, the region shows a notable increase in 3,9 point compared to the same period in 2022. This growth is largely fueled by the good recovery in air traffic and the holding of major events.

A month punctuated by major events

The month of October was marked by several major events, such as the Leisure Vehicles Show, NatExpo 2023 show at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center, and the 31e Artistic Salon from Roissy-en-France. These events contributed significantly to boosting attendance tourism in the region, thus strengthening the occupancy of hotel establishments.

Air traffic on the rise: a key driver for the hotel industry

According to the ADP report, Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport welcomed 5 passengers in October 984, recording remarkable growth in + 10,5 % compared to the previous year. This upward trend, with an increase in + 87,8 % compared to 2019, underlines the notable recovery of tourist activity and travel in the region.

Hotel trends: contrasts in accommodation categories

Despite a slight decrease of the occupancy rate in the super-economic category (1* and 2*), maintained at 84,5%, mid-range hotels (4*) and tourist residences showed notable increases. However, super-budget establishments record the most significant drop in RevPAR (-14,7%), while economy hotels (3*) and mid-range (4*) show respective drops in -4,8% and -5,8%.

Positive results over ten months: an encouraging trend

Despite drops in average prices in certain categories, the super-economic segment maintains exceptional performance.

The month of October seems promising for all sectors of Grand Roissy

In October, the sectors Airport, Orchard Alley, and Villepinte/Paris North display respective occupancy rates of 83,0%, 82,8%, and 74,9%. The Airport area stands out with a higher average price of 130,4€, while the Allée du Verger and Villepinte/Paris Nord areas showed performances of 87,3€ et 81,1€. However, all sectors are experiencing a decline in average price, highlighting the need to adapt to market fluctuations.

In summary, the Grand Roissy hotel figures for October 2023 reflect a sustained recovery, but also the challenges to maintain the positive dynamic in a constantly evolving tourist environment.
