April 28, 2024 will mark the grand return of the Ekiden de Roissy Pays de France, a unique opportunity to participate in a team relay race in a sporting, friendly and festive atmosphere! If you are passionate about running or simply looking for a stimulating challenge, this event is for you.

What is Ekiden?

Inspired by japanese concept, the Ekiden is a relay race where teams of 6 team members the baton is passed over a total distance of 42,195 km. Each runner covers part of this distance according to a specific division: 5 km for the 1st, 3rd and 5th torchbearers, 10 km for the 2nd and 4th torchbearers, and finally, 7,195 km for the last torchbearer. Each individual performance contributes to the team's final result, measured using a chip integrated into the bib.

This year, the Ekiden of Roissy Pays de France offers athletic clubs the possibility of qualifying for the French Athletics Championships. In addition, business packs are available, including different offers adapted to all needs, ranging from the starter offer to the premium offer.

The winning teams in the men's, women's and mixed categories will be rewarded during the closing ceremony, with the presentation of trophies and special prizes.

For this edition, Ekiden will have the honor of being sponsored by Anaïs Quemener, 2022 French marathon champion, and Aurélien Quinion, 2023 French 20 km walking champion and qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games. Registration and practical information

Registrations are open online on the site ekiden-roissypaysdefrance.fr. Collect your bibs at the Golf Club House Saturday, April 27, 2024 or the day of the event. The race will start at 9h, followed by entertainment from 11 h.

This event is open to licensed and non-licensed runners born before January 1, 2008. A medical certificate dated less than one year or a valid license will be required upon registration.
