The second edition of the Spring Festival in Roissy-en-France lit up the day of Saturday April 27, 2024 despite a capricious sky. Under the gray clouds, a warm and festive atmosphere reigned throughout the day, delighting young and old alike. This spring celebration began at 9 a.m. with the opening of various stands, including that of the Grand Roissy Tourist Office, run by our reception manager, Chloé Chauchet.
Discovery and indulgence
At the Tourist Office stand, visitors were able to discover the local delicacies, such as jams from the Pomamour orchard by Gressy, on sale in our three tourist information offices. Additionally, an engaging workshop titled “Exploring the Hidden Treasures of Weeds”, animated by Corinne Duverger, expert in Herbalism-Naturopathy, made it possible to reveal the often unknown wonders of nature through culinary recipes and traditional uses.
Diversity and commitment
The stands were numerous and diverse, offering visitors an enriching experience:
- Sale of plants, bulbs and seeds for gardening enthusiasts.
- Flower commission with Monique Duault, offering sound advice for beautifying gardens and balconies.
- Animation of Sigidurs on composting and raising awareness of the lifespan of waste, an essential environmental approach.
- Presentation of the environmental project to develop the Place du Pays de France, an initiative aimed at preserving and promoting our local heritage.
Wonder and awareness
One of the highlights of the day was undoubtedly the mini educational farm, where children, and even adults, were amazed by their proximity to animals and were able to learn more about their way of life and their needs.
A beautiful edition
This edition of the Spring Festival in Roissy-en-France was a real success, bringing the community together in a friendly and festive atmosphere despite the vagaries of the weather. She was able to highlight the richness of our land, the creativity of our inhabitants and the importance of preserving our environment. A memorable day which suggests great editions to come for this spring festival!
