In this interview, Mrs. Amel Julien, Sales manager du Golf Hotel Mont Griffon, shares his rich professional career, his innovative vision for the business tourism at Grand Roissy and its commitment to the sustainable development,. 1- Can you tell us about your background, what motivated you to become a Sales Manager at Golf Hotel Mont Griffon, as well as the challenges encountered in this role?

Passionate since 20 years through the world of events and seminar management, it is in this field that I forged my career as a Sales manager. I had the opportunity to develop solid expertise in customer relationship management, contract negotiation and creation of tailor-made solutions for seminars and corporate events.

My role has allowed me to collaborate with sales teams, varied customers and service providers, in order to design offers adapted to the specific needs of each companyI worked in hotel establishments and in agencies, which was very educational in the management and development of major account client portfolios.

As Sales Manager, Today I supervise the seminar sales department at Mont Griffon, throughout the entire sales cycle: from prospecting to long-term relationship management, budget management and business strategy. My approach is always focused on optimizing results, while placing customer experience at the heart of each project. This also involves a cross-functional approach to work closely with the various departments on the site to ensure perfect team coordination. It is important to me to create a collaborative and motivating environment, where everyone can express their potential and contribute to the collective success.

My mission at the golf course also allows me to manage cross-functional projects such as la renovation of meeting or accommodation spaces, referencing of new suppliers or service providers. There are therefore many challenges to be met for meet the needs of the MICE market constantly evolving : combining creativity, strategy, innovation and management.

2- How does the Golf Hôtel de Mont Griffon manage to offer a unique experience to business travelers?

Mont Griffon is a human-sized establishment which offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. Our teams strive to understand the needs, challenges and objectives of each company in order to propose a personalized offer. Adaptability, flexibility and user-friendliness are the key words to provide a unique customer experience to our customers.

3- Your establishment offers team building activities adapted to companies. Can you tell us more about some of these activities and how they promote team cohesion?

We offer wide range of team building activities which adapt to customer specifications: duration, budget, type of activity.

The Golf Olympics are a strong concept that is enjoying real success and is part of the site's DNA; they help to strengthen ties between employees to achieve a common goal while highlighting everyone's skills.

Among other things, we offer a treetop adventure team building activity that is built around values ​​such as confidence and surpassing oneself in order to boost the feeling of belonging to the team: all in a fun setting.

We therefore advise the organizers according to the messages they wish to convey through team building activities to ensure the complete success of their event.

4. Golf Mont Griffon offers a green dimension to events. Can you tell us about your ecology initiatives and their integration into event planning?

The Mont Griffon Golf Course is part of a eco-responsible and sustainable societal approach through different actions:

  • Reducing the ecological footprint/sustainable resource management: We are setting up a water management policy and natural management maintenance of paths and green spaces.
  • biodiversity : Preservation of local ecosystems and creation of natural habitats, Beehive installation on our site, production of our honey harvest with a local beekeeper.
  • Awareness: Through strategic and informative displays, we raise awareness among our resident customers reuse of bathroom linen and the importance of this eco-responsible practice and its benefits for the environment.
  • Local partnerships : We support the local economy by prioritizing short circuits for our catering offer.

Our goal is to provide quality services while being mindful of the impact of our activities on the environment and society.

5. What do you think are the main challenges and opportunities for continuing to develop business tourism in Greater Roissy, capitalizing on its many assets?

The proximity of Grand Roissy with Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport is ideal for organizing events and corporate seminars. Our location in the heart of the Oise Country of France Natural Park, in the heart of nature, is an undeniable asset: you can disconnect to better unite and bring together employees around a project.

In this dynamic, we are constantly on the lookout to optimize our services for to best meet the expectations of the MICE market. Developing our commitment to eco-responsible events while maintaining friendliness and warmth are the challenges of Mont Griffon.

6. To conclude, what activity or must-see place would you recommend to a company or visitor who wants to discover Grand Roissy? 

Greater Roissy is full of riches among the National Renaissance Museum at the Château d'Écouen which I highly recommend. Jewel of the Renaissance, This is a prestigious site where we discover treasures such as the hangings of the story of David and Bathsheba, the Statuette of Daphne or a magnificent Venetian Cabinet from the 16th centurynd century.

One can organize private tours and stroll through the outdoor gardens overlooking the Plaine de France. This place allows you to explore a site full of history where you can discover a wide variety of art objects, furniture and paintings.
