The exhibition " On Horseback: Equestrian Portraiture in Renaissance France » highlights the strong symbolism and profound transformations of the equestrian figure during Renaissance.

The exhibition is presented in the apartment of Queen Catherine de Medici and brings together more than 160 works from prestigious foreign and French institutions : Windsor – The Royal Collection, the Louvre Museum, the National Library of France, the National Museum of the Château de Pau, the National Archives, the Army Museum, the City of Architecture and Heritage, the Carnavalet Museum…

The conference visits 🗣️

Accompanied by a conferral guide, discover their temporary exhibition: from the ideal of the Middle Ages to the genesis of the creation of the royal square, including the rediscovery of antiquity, discover the different facets of the equestrian portrait.
