Le ARCHEA museum opens the doors of his new temporary exhibition with an exceptional and free weekend, the March 15 and 16, 2025. Come and discover how waste, from prehistoric flint to contemporary tin cans, reveals the secrets of human societies.

A fascinating dive into the history of waste

What do a prehistoric flint shard, an ancient oyster shell, a contemporary tin can and the helmet of King Charles VI have in common? They have all become waste, valuable sources of information for the archéologues.

The exhibition addresses, in an accessible manner, theproduction evolution et of waste management and then what this says about human societies. Archaeological discoveries illustrate how, over time, waste has been produced, treated and valorized and how archaeologists are seizing upon it today to make it speak.
