By 2030, the municipality of Mesnil-Amelot will host one of the iconic stations on line 17 of the Grand Paris Express. Designed by the agency Architecture Explorations, this new infrastructure will be much more than just a place of passage: It will embody the modernity, openness and architectural ambition of the Grand Paris.

With a surface of 4 000 m² for an estimated budget of 18 million, the overhead station will mark the northeastern terminus of line 17 and will provide strategic access to the metropolis for residents of Seine-et-Marne and Oise.

🌞 A bright and warm architecture

The architectural approach is based on natural light and openness. The structure, in glued laminated timber, is distinguished by a roof with elegant geometric patterns, combining technical performance and contemporary aesthetics.

De large windows generously let in daylight, creating a soothing and fluid interior space, while ensuring a visual connection between the interior of the station and its exterior environment. A real comfort for travelers, who will benefit from a pleasant, intuitive and easily readable place.

🧭 Careful integration into the territory

Located near the Paris Street (RD 401), to the north of the town, the station is part of a vast development project for Greater Roissy and the Paris – Charles de Gaulle airport platform.

She will benefit from a excellent multimodal accessibility : various bus will serve her, and a park and ride will allow motorists to leave their vehicles and continue their journey by public transport. intermodality designed to make life easier for users.

🎨 An artistic touch at the heart of the experience

As part of the Grand Paris Express artistic program, the artist Esther Stocker, in collaboration with the architect Benoît Le Thierry d'Ennequin, will sign a work integrated into the station.

Esther stocker draws inspiration from the proximity to the airport to evoke lightness and flight. In collaboration with thearchitect Benoît Le Thierry d'Ennequin, she suspends large metal “paper” airplanes from the ceiling. These sculptures, marked with geometric black lines, play with the symmetry of the beams and transform the station into a poetic and aerial space.

⏱️ A station looking to the future

With an ambitious vision about to commissioning planned for 2030, the Mesnil-Amelot station aims to accommodate around 5 travelers per day. Thanks to line 17, journeys will be made easier, with 25 minutes to Saint-Denis Pleyel compared to more than an hour today.

This new equipment is already establishing itself as a strong lever for local and regional development., at the crossroads of tomorrow's mobility.
