On March 17, the Grand Roissy Tourist Office team participated in the Digital Cleanup Day, a key event for reduce our digital carbon footprint et raise awareness among our team to the challenges of responsible digital technology.
What is Digital Cleanup Day?
Le Digital Cleanup DayIs the World Digital Cleanup DayEvery year in March, millions of people mobilize to reduce the environmental impact of our digital usesThe principle is simple: sort through your emails, files and devices, give your equipment a second life and understand how our digital technology affects the planet.
Born in France in 2020 as Cyber World CleanUp Day, the movement has now spread internationally. Its goal? To create a collective momentum for preserve our resources, limit electronic waste and raise awareness among everyone about more responsible digital practices. It is a positive and concrete event: everyone can act at their own level, whether at home, at school or at work.
Collective action
In 2025, our priority was the recycling of electronic equipment : 17 kg of small electrical equipment collected by E-wasteof which 13 kg were recycled, 2 kg were disposed of and 2 kg were recovered.
This year, we aimed for the invisible digital dataThe goal was to reduce our digital carbon footprint by deleting unnecessary data. Each team member incorporated a few simple actions into their day, alongside their usual tasks. A collective gesture for the planet, but also to better organize ourselves in our digital lives.
The 2026 results in figures
Thanks to this cleanup, our mailboxes and drives can finally breathe: 21310 emails deleted, 52,98 GO of cleaned files, 41 applications uninstalled and 183 photos and videos useless deleted.
Beyond the numbers, the team feels lighter and organized Fewer bulky emails, fewer unnecessary files, and above all, a healthier digital environment.

- Zero unnecessary emails : delete old messages, notifications and newsletters, and unsubscribe from those you never read.
- Clean up your files : eliminate duplicates, empty the “Downloads” folder, and delete unnecessary photos or videos.
- Smartphones and apps : uninstall the apps you don't use and sort through your gallery.
