A weekend in the great outdoors, creative workshops and the castle as a backdrop: the Rendez-vous aux jardins transform ÉCOUEN in a space for artistic exploration 6 and 7 June 2026.
Workshops
Several workshops will be offered throughout the weekend to experiment with creative techniques original locations in the heart of nature.
Tataki zome
Participants will go on a plant collection drive to create a herbariumThey will then print them onto fabric using a hammer. This technique, both surprising and poetic, reveals the tannins of the plants directly onto the material.

Cyanotype
After gathering plants in the forest, participants will create their compositions by letting sunlight do its work, which will reveal delicate bluish imprints on photosensitive paper.

Embroidered herbarium
Participants will be invited to enrich a sheet previously printed from plants by adding... embroideryWhether you are a beginner or more experienced, everyone can contribute their own touch to this collective creation.

Guided tours
Spring is a beautiful season for walks in nature. Two guided tours invite you to discover the estate and the collections from a new perspective. Between history, botany, and art, you will set off to discover... plant species which make up this exceptional setting as well as the nature's place in the works of the museum.

Set off alongside a domain agent to explore the history of the place and learn more about different species which make up this veritable haven of greenery.

Nature and Plants
Plants have inspired artists for centuries. From symbols and legends to decorative motifs and materials used in art and furniture, the plants occupy an essential place in the museum collectionsA discovery full of details to explore throughout the visit.

The Class, the Work!
The students of " The Class, the Work! will present their reinterpretation of the myth of DaphneTo escape Apollo, she transforms into a laurel tree. A creation inspired by a albarelloan old apothecary jar kept in the museum's collections.
