Starting in 2025, the Grand Roissy Tourist Office will sponsor the hives of Alexandre Da Costa, a beekeeper committed to protecting pollinating insects. A local, sustainable, and rewarding initiative that makes sense.

A partnership to preserve biodiversity

Aware of the issues linked to the gradual disappearance of pollinating insects, the Grand Roissy Tourist Office has decided to make a concrete commitment by sponsoring a local hive via Alexandre Services, the structure founded by Alexandre Da Costa, a passionate beekeeper from Luzarchois. This partnership is part of an eco-responsible and awareness-raising approach, with the key: local honey, educational activities and a real environmental impact.

Alexandre Da Costa, activist beekeeper

Created 2022, Alexandre Service aims to promote the benefits of bees et to support local stakeholders in their efforts to support pollinators.

"It's important to take action and protect pollinating insects. A third of our food depends on them, and particularly on bees." — Alexandre Da Costa

Based in Île-de-France in Val d'Oise, Alexandre offers a complete, turnkey solution for businesses, communities and structures wishing to host a hive on their site and get involved in the preservation of biodiversity.

A tailor-made beekeeping service

Committed over two years, its formula includes:

  • A feasibility study on site;
  • La supply and installation of hives with swarms ;
  • La annual management of colonies, including administrative matters;
  • La harvesting, potting and custom labeling honey (up to 25 kg/hive depending on the weather);
  • A honey extraction animation the first year (with active participation) and a hive opening animation the second year, accompanied by environmental advice;
  • La installation of an educational panel to promote the approach to the public.

The beekeeping activities one-off services (opening hives, extraction) are also offered throughout the year.

Raise awareness while enjoying yourself

Thanks to this sponsorship, the Tourist Office will receive its own honey each season, harvested locally, but will also be able to raise awareness among the public and partners about the challenges of pollination, through highlights organized in the region.

A concrete gesture in favor of local biodiversity, which combines discovery, education and indulgence !
