cultural.
Through this cultural route, the City of Écouen invites you to discover its heritage, intimately linked to the history of France and part of its daily life. Giving new life to buildings from the past to give them a destination deeply rooted in the present: this is the real challenge
recorded by the municipality of Écouen. During this walk where history and culture intertwine, you will be transported on an astonishing adventure where the marks of time will be erased.
On the program: Manoir des Tourelles, Saint-Acceul Church, Wash-house, Tithing barns & Stables and Orientation Table of the Château d'Écouen for a view of the Plaine de France.
▶ 12:30 p.m.: Lunch with traditional French menu: starter, hot main course, dessert, French wine and coffee.
Meet at the restaurant A la Table des Rois located in the heart of the castle.
Optional: lunch at the semi-gourmet Italian restaurant Il Maestro or at the Iscoam restaurant.
▶ 15:00 p.m .: Guided tour of the ARCHÉA museum
Come and spend the afternoon for an interactive discovery of the exhibition. In a contemporary building, ARCHÉA offers visitors to discover history through the results of archaeological research carried out for 40 years in the north-east of Île-de-France. . Nearly 750 objects are presented, from prehistory to modern times, from 87 archaeological sites. Digital projections, reconstructions, elements to manipulate and models help to better understand this story. The visits consist of a presentation of this exhibition by a museum mediator, who always adapts to his audience, neophytes as well as specialists.
