A few kilometers north of Paris, here are two monuments to discover in one day. The Royal Abbey of Royaumont and the Château d'Ecouen, now the National Museum.
Half-day guided tour: Ecouen is a “Château de la Loire” near Paris, classified among the most beautiful castles in France. Built 500 years ago, it is a magnificent example of Renaissance architecture, the new style of which arrived from Italy in the XNUMXth century. Explore the immense rooms decorated with rare objects, tapestries and jewelry from this era.

Half-day guided tour: Founded by St Louis in 1228, the Royal Cistercian Abbey of Royaumont displays its Gothic architecture of exceptional dimensions. Your guide will tell you its history over nearly 800 years, happily evoking the King's frequent stays and the many anecdotes attached to them. Depending on the season, also enjoy the remarkable gardens which have been recreated all around the monument.
