Reverse phylogenesis - by Golnaz Behrouznia & Dominique Peysson.

Can certain living species undergo a process of rejuvenation? They would thus go back up the phylogenetic tree of life: in other words a "des-evolution" not understood as a regression, but as a means of rediscovering the freedom of forms of life from the very earliest times, of exploring other modalities of being in the world.

Golnaz Behrouznia and Dominique Peysson, two artists passionate about life, together imagine the principle of reverse phylogenesis. By collaborating with the scenographer Rémi Boulnois, they offer a journey featuring other parallel, extravagant lives, with strange anatomy and enigmatic functioning in the form of a mini-museum which reappropriates the unknowns of the living.
