Ce 24 August, France Bleu Paris put ÉCOUEN in the spotlight, on the occasion of "Tour of Île-de-France in 45 stages: 100% local" organized in partnership with the Regional Tourism Committee.

All summer long, the France Bleu Paris teams visited, live, emblematic places of the Ile-de-France region. At the initiative of the CRT, the radio thus wishes to honor the cultural heritage, local personalities and gastronomy of Île-de-France, which is full of wealth.

Volunteers, traders, museum curators or politicians: the Écouennais, mobilized by Bousso Niass, group manager at the Tourist Information Office, took turns for introduce the beautiful town of Écouen (41st stage) to the France Bleu teams… and to its listeners! 

The radio report took the form of a walk punctuated by stages in the streets of Écouen.

Twin Evelyn, Deputy Mayor in charge of tourism, first spoke at the microphone of Quentin Lhuissier, to present the town, its history, its heritage and its daily life.

Thierry Crepin-Leblond, Director of Château d'Écouen-National Renaissance Museum, then presents the exceptional heritage of the museum: works of art from all over Europe.

Jean-Michel Motta, longtime volunteer at the Tourist Information Office (located in the Manoir des Tourelles) and president of the Historical Society of Écouen, presented the permanent exhibition on the famous Chappe Telegraph, inventor in 1793 of the ancestor of means of communication known today.

It is then the turn of Luciano Spadafora, the chief at the head of Il Maestro, Franco-Italian restaurant opened less than a year ago, to talk to us about gastronomy.

Christine arveiller, master glassmaker responsible for the stained glass workshop (Escale association, Simone Signoret cultural center), concluded this pretty stroll through the cobbled streets of Écouen by evoking the manufacturing processes of stained glass.
