After several months of work, the Plaine Oxygène aquatic complex located at Mesnil-Amelot will reopen in January 2022. Since October 2021, schoolchildren have already been able to enjoy swimming.
Inaugurated in September 2010, Plain Oxygen pool a welcomed to the public for nine years before renovations were carried out.
Numerous renovations to the Plaine Oxygène aquatic center
Victim of poor workmanship, works have been implemented since 2019 to put this back on its feet place of 40 860 m². The latter is made up of:
- From an aquatic center : composed of a sports pool, a pool for aquasports and fun equipment for children.
- A fitness center : composed of a cardio-training room equipped with treadmills, steppers, elliptical machines, bicycles and rowers are also at your disposal; a weight room equipped with many machines, some of which are guided; and a fitness room for classes supervised by qualified coaches.
- From an Océane space : composed of a hammam, a sauna, a jacuzzi and a hydro massage bath.
- From a restaurant which will open in spring 2022.
Le outdoor pool, which had never been put into service so far, has been refurbished. However, we will have to wait a few more months to be able to take advantage of it.
De new equipment will emerge such as a rink, adjoining the swimming pool (provided for in the initial project). The latter should open at the end of 2022, in place of the Plaine de jeux.
