The recorded performances are in clear improvement compared to last year

Significant events recorded over the last month:

  • The year 2017 ends with a good month of December. The performances recorded are in clear improvement compared to December 2016. Indeed, the RevPAR increased by more than 10% all categories combined. Attendance increased by 7,6 points while at the same time, average prices fell slightly (- 1,1%).
  • The balance sheet for 2017 is therefore more than positive. Attendance is up 8,6 points and came to 78,1%. At the level of average prices, a decrease of 3,4% is observed which in the end gives a RevPAR increase of 8,6%.
  • Other sectors of Grand Paris impacted by business activity also recorded marked improvement in figures. First of all, the hotels located near the DisneyLand Park recorded a RevPAR increase of nearly 20%, thanks to the combined increase in attendance (8 pts ) and average prices (7%).  La Défense show attendance up 5,4 points. The fall in average prices being less marked than at Roissy (-1,1% against -3,4%), this allows RevPAR to grow by 6,6%, representing the most significant increase. Then, Orly hotels also recorded positive performances but in smaller proportions (occupancy rate up 3,3 points and average price down 2,5%), while at the same time, hotels located around Porte de Versailles, due in particular to a sharp drop in prices (-8,1%) due to the absence of major exhibitions in 2017 such as the Mondial de l'Auto, posted a RevPAR decline of 5,4% despite attendance up slightly (+2,1 pts).
