Saturday 1er October 2022, Arte Concert and France Musique broadcast a film by Andrew Staples and Daniel Harding. The latter staged in a dreamlike way the ballet "The Firebird" by Igor Stravinsky, performed by the Orchester Philharmonique de Radio France.

Indeed, this one was made as close as possible to an Air France Airbus A350. More specifically, these are the company's maintenance hangars. The film, shot in July 2021, was able to take advantage of the exceptional opening of the Air France hangars in Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Thus, 80 musicians from the Orchester Philharmonique de Radio France took their place around this giant of the air.

In fact, it was under the direction of Daniel Harding, a renowned conductor and Air France pilot on an Airbus A320, that they interpreted the Orchestral Suite of The Firebird. The objective of this project was to introduce music to as many people as possible in a most unusual setting. It is therefore quite natural that Air France supported this initiative alongside Radio France, Arte, France Musique and the production company Camera Lucida.

Finally, Air France customers will also soon be able to discover this new film on board the company's long-haul flights.
