Reopening of Terminal 1 and new features

Closed since March 30, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the last airport terminal still closed opened on Saturday December 3.

After several months of modernization work, visitors were treated to the unveiling of a brand new passenger route. Thus, the latter stands out for the modernization of the central body (marble covering on the floor, digitalized signage, change of light points to LED, new smartization equipment). In addition, there is a brand new international passenger route, the arrival point of which is a new 5 m² boarding lounge. Finally, an Alain Ducasse restaurant is currently under construction… to be continued!

New for groups: customs inspections at the airport

The Grand Roissy Tourist Office and House of Environment and Sustainable Development (MEDD) come together to make you go behind the scenes at the famous Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport from the start of 2023.

You will first be received by a territorial agent who will present the missions of the MEDD to you, then will introduce you to the airport environment (trades, sectors of activity, etc.). Thus, you will be accompanied by the guide from the tourist office.

Now is the time to go to reserved area with the MEDD coach. Thereby, put yourself in the shoes of a traveler ! Prepare your ID, empty your pockets and go through the security gate. Finally, you can now return to your coach and discover behind the scenes of Roissy CDG airport.
