With a very positive assessment of the first 9 months of 2023 for ADP, a hôtellerie which is in full swing in the airport area and the early repayment of its debt by Air France, all indicators show a strong recovery in 2023.

The ADP report from January to September

The consolidated turnover for the first nine months of 2023 ofADP increased by 21,8% compared to the same period in 2022, reaching 4 million euros. This growth is attributed to several segments of the company:

  • The Aeronautical Activities and International & Airport Developments segments benefited from the resumption of traffic in Paris, with a increase of 18,4% (equivalent to 91,4% of the 2019 traffic level), as well as internationally, notably at TAV Airports, with a increase of 24,1% (i.e. 97,8% of the 2019 traffic level).
  • The Retail & Services segment recorded solid growth thanks to the recovery of traffic in Paris and the continued increase in revenue per Extime Paris passenger, which reached €29,7 for the first nine months of 2023. In addition, the number of open points of sale increased compared to the same period in 2022.
  • The Real Estate segment also experienced growth, in particular thanks to additional rents from assets taken over in full ownership during 2022.

The financial forecasts and objectives for the whole of 2023 have been confirmed, with a turnover of 4 million euros for the first nine months of 2023, compared to 3 million euros for the same period in 384, representing an increase of 2022 million euros, i.e. increase of 21,8%.

Air France-KLM pays off its debt

In the third quarter, the airline recorded a net profit doubled compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 931 million euros. Operating profit also increased by 31%, reaching 1,34 billion euros, while the turnover increased by 6,8%, reaching 8,66 billion euros.

Regarding the debt, Air France-KLM and Air France have ended their participation in the French state's recapitalization aid program, signaling the recovery of the aviation sector after the COVID-19 pandemic and the normalization of their financial situation. There Air France-KLM net debt decreased by more than a billion euros over the last nine months, going from 6,34 billion euros to 5 billion euros at the end of September.

In addition to this early repayment, Ai France-KLM also announced that it had ordered 50 Airbus A350-900 and A350-1000 aircraft in order to renew its long-haul fleet. The first deliveries are expected in 2026 and will last until 2030.

A hotel that is always full

According to MKG figures – observatory set up by the Grand Roissy Tourist Office in partnership with MKG – the hotels of Grand Roissy are doing wonderfully! On average, the occupancy rate for the first 9 months of 2023 is 74,9%, a figure up compared to 2022 by 11,2%. The occupancy rate even reached 83,6% in July and 82,6% in September. The Airport zone has an average rate of 77,8% including 86,7% in July and not going below 64,1% (February). Regarding Allée du Verger, the occupancy rate reached 74,1% with it also a highest figure in July (83,1%). Finally, the Villepinte / Paris Nord 2 area displays 67,3% occupancy from January to September 2023, including 78,6% in July.
